I have a 40GB Apple iPod by Hewlett-Packard (
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh...=PE436AR%23ABA). I've always wondered if there is a difference between mine and one purchased from the Apple store. I don't know if the HP factor makes a difference.
I have a question for iPod owners. I used to have my iTunes library on my work computer and, when it got too large, I decided to move everything to my personal laptop. After I downloaded iTunes on my laptop, I plugged in my iPod and I got a prompt telling me that it detected that my iPod was linked to another library and it wanted to know if I wanted to cancel that link and link it to the new library. I said yes thinking that all of the songs on my iPod would transfer to my laptop. Instead, I think it deleted everything on my iPod. Has this happened to anyone and, if so, were you able to find the songs anywhere?
