Neither for me, I'm Jewish.
When I was growing up (my family is Catholic) we used to get a real tree every year. The things dropped needles like crazy. So, when my parents had the house re-carpeted (the new carpet had a thick pile), they decided, no more real trees - they didn't want to still be finding needles in June.
So they got a small fake tree. They just recently got a new tree, with the lights built in - just plug it in, stick a few ornaments on it if you want, and you're done.
