my two cents a little late...my friend really wanted to coach, too. she had an undergrad major in business administration and then went to grad school for sports administration. she was able to find jobs, however they were extrememly low paying and required a large time committment. given the time committment at certain times of year, she really was only able to keep temp jobs as her second source of income. that gave her more flexibility during her peak times. she was very lucky to be marrying a vet because she didn't make enough money to pay rent! oh, she ended up leaving coaching and being a stay at home wife...and more recently becoming a mom.
