Is anyone reading this book?

I'm on about Chapter 5 and I think it's an OK story so far. I have to admit I am a bit annoyed by the references to recent pop culture in every other sentence. In parts it makes sense, but it is getting to the point to where it's a bit excessive.

Besides that I think the story is interesting..
