maybe sophomoric, but....

You know, I am gonna talk from what I feel. Most college profs
were not greeks. Most college profs are hired to teach, not to
inculcate life styles. Frankly, most college profs are dull. Most of
the successful (who pay the losers' salaries) alumni were greeks
and while they may have loved the gnerdy professor Chips, they
loved their fraternity experience, too. An additional plus to them
Often times profs have a newfound discovery...they are listened
to; they are quasi-worshipped. But it is not 'cause they are such
studly Adonises, not because they are charming or possess a
modicum of dashing-ness. It is because they hand out grades,
and our business majors and others known damned well they have to get thru the class, his idiosyncrasies and opinions.
I finally got a PhD, but prior to that was scorned from faculty
discussions 'cause I did not have one. Well, I got one, and a gpa
of 3.91. Poorest investment I ever made.
Those who want to boot the greeks off campuses, in my opinion,
are myopic losers. Gnerds with the G or not...
GOD...look at Bowdoin's co-ed composites now...forsooth!
I can now be an intellectual snob and I have the gpa and the writings...and the GUTS to say it.
Most profs are nerds. I am happy to be no longer a part of it....
The best experience I got was being president and officer on two university campuses...and fifty years of Fraternity...
