I had a Psych professor that administered a test that about 80% of the class got lower than a C-. Obviously there was something that wasn't getting through to us. Instead of going over the test answers and finding out what went wrong, she wanted to proceed with new material after handing back the results because she wanted to focus on keeping the top 20% of the class interested.
We eventually coersed her into going over the test answers in detail.
