local history

likely the best source would be old yearbooks, and a gleaning
of them, from time to time, will give an impression of the group.
Every four or five years somebody puts in a history of sorts, not
aware that they have invented the wheel again, that is why I say to look in several....in the college library usually.
Fraternity/Sorority headquarters might have a copy of the petition
for a charter which will generally have a history of the petitioner.
But to expect the CEO, the staff/grunts to look it up, forget it.
Good luck.
