I read about the coolest thing in the paper yesterday -- two women have started a program called Girlfriend Power. They are collecting handwritten letters from women everywhere to send to "girlfriends" who are dealing with a difficult event; the first two girlfriends for whom they are collecting letters are Lisa Beamer and Lyzbeth Glick, whose husbands were killed on 9/11.
I thought this was a wonderful idea, and that maybe some of you women out there might want to send letters.
