Well since becoming a member in 2003 (Two years tomorrow
) I have been dubbed Miss AKA, or Super AKA or The (Thee) AKA by my chapter members. lol I was serious as an interest & I am serious about working for and loving MY AKA!
I'm on several committees as my chapter is very small. I am the fundraising chair and don't miss ANYTHING unless I am off of the island. I also seem to be obsessed with our colors. I have now turned a deaf ear to my chapter sorors who ask if I own any other colors. The answer is no. lol
I haven't missed any official AKA gathering i.e Regional, Boule, Leadership. I am wherever I am needed and help where I can.
I truly LOVE being an AKA. I love the relationships I've formed through her, I love doing the WORK of AKA, I love PLAYING in AKA. This truly was the best decision I could have made & I'm loving every moment of it.
