I graduated from UTC in 97. This story really struck a nerve with me. I briefly dated a guy who lived in Boling 202 - I can visualize where the whole thing allegedly occurred. I still remember what the LXA house looks like - and of course staying there late some nights partying.
This isn't the first time that one of the sports teams has been in trouble for causing problems at a fraternity party (or after being at one of the fraternity parties). I vividly remember a fight breaking out at a Kappa Sig party - started by the wrestling team. After that occurred, guest lists were strictly enforced. It was really sad that a few people ruined it for the others.
I feel bad for LXA. Of course, I don't know any of their current members, but the brothers that were there 10 years ago were nice guys. If these guys are the same type of guys, then they don't deserve their name being drug thru the mud.
I can totally see the football players being in trouble for breaking a curfew - they took that stuff pretty seriously. If these guys really did it, I hope they are punished to the fullest extent of the law. I still have friends in Chattanooga - I'll keep you posted as this unfolds.
