I learned in my Theories of Persuasion class (which should have been called "The History of Civil Rights") that she didn't just make the decision to not give her seat up on her own. She was part of an organization and it was a sort of planned thing. He told us this was the part of Rosa Parks history that we are not taught. None of the African American students in the class said anything and or silently reacted so I took this is true (plus the fact that I couldn't see our professor teaching us a lie this big).
