You know what I always wondered about Chris, if they (the writers) always had the intention of making him Piper's son? I mean he was brought in at the end of S5 before Holly was pregnant, then she got pregnant and the pregnancy had to be written in. So it makes me wonder if suddenly they changed their minds and said "what the hell let's make him their son".

Excellent ideas! I think if they brought Prue back, that'd be one of those eps where I'd just boo-hoo throughout the whole thing.
But I noticed in the ep when they were caught in a time loop, they didn't even show old clips of Prue in the new ep. Instead, they showed Prue the "dog" or someone from behind that looked like Prue jumping on the motorcycle (remember when Piper's wedding was ruined?). Must be something contractual.
