Sorry for the delay!
Ok, so my part was making a "filmstrip" to cover the sides of the truck. I cut a black 70" x 70" shower curtain in half for the background. I printed off black and white pictures of old stars and got them blown up to poster size at Kinko's. Then I glued them down, and added one "frame" on both of the filmstrip pieces that was a white piece of posterboard that said "presents... RU Classic". There was a star at the top of that poster that said
AST. There was also a black poster that said "
AST presents RU Classic" to cover the gate of the truck. I also had stars made of construction paper scattered over the filmstrip - half were green with yellow paint pen writing, and half were yellow with green paint pen writing. Each star each had the name of a sister on it.
One of the other members of the Homecoming Float Committee made a big video camera as a prop to go in the bed of the truck. She also made a director's cut chop block thing (the thing that they say "Action!" with).
The third committee member made a giant silver movie ticket to go in the truck bed.
The sisters wore our standards ("unities") and jeans. our standards are black shirts with hunter green letters on sparkly gold matte. They were going to try to make our homecoming queen nominee to dress as an old-fashioned starlet, but I was out of town (sad) so I'm not sure if she did. Still waiting for some cute pictures!
