Wow, that's really sad, I'm just reading this now. I didn't hear anything about this on the news, probably b/c I always went to bed b4 the news came on so I could go to work in the morning. 
I met her one year at an NAACP national convention. She seemed really nice. She moderated a youth workshop on explicit rap lyrics, and Lil Kim's song, "Queen Bee" was one of the topics. She had asked a young male NAACP member to read the lyrics out loud and as he did, girls were singing along until he couldn't take it anymore and stopped reading.
She will be missed.
