Is there any way you could adopt her?
I could adopt her if I wanted to. And its not that I don't want to, its just that I'm not at a time in my life right now that I feel ready to permenantly add another dog.

I believe they are lifetime comittments. Small dogs live for 15-20 yrs. Right now we have a 17 yr old Bichon that was a stray, a 12 yr old beagle mix stray, a rescued 3 yr old Border Terrier, and a 1.5 yr old Pit Bull mix living in our household. They all get along with the new puppy suprisingly well. Out of the four dogs the Pit mix will be the only one that goes with me when I move out. I'm still young (21) and I know a lot of things will change within the next few years. It will be hard enough to find housing for one dog, much less two. So I know its best for the pup if I just foster her until she finds a permanent home. She's small and cute, so I doubt I will have her for too long.

I'm hoping that after mom sees fostering this one was no trouble, that she will allow me to foster more in the future since our Humane Society is always in need of good foster homes.
