My social life before Sigma was pretty good. I had friends from Kappa Phi as well as church.
Sigma didn't give me friends, but it did help me make MORE friends, girls that I couldn't imagine never meeting.
If I hadn't gone Greek, I probably would still have the same ideas about sororities that I had from freshman year. Before I joined, I thought that NPC sororities were not for Black women and certainly not for disabled people. I wanted to join, but I was pretty sure I wouldn't get a bid.
I wouldn't have the confidence to talk to people that I gained through interacting with others at sorority events.
Sigma has been a HUGE part of my college experience, and I don't think my college experience would be what it has been without it.
