While I personally don't drink in my letters, a lot of my sisters do. I don't see a whole lot wrong with it, just try not to "act a fool" when you do. You're not just representing the organization, but hell, you're representing yourself first, and I don't think you'd want other people to see you sloppily drunk all of the time. I'm not the social police when I go to sorority events where there might be alcohol served. However, I will (and have) pulled sisters to the side when she's getting a little out of hand. That's not just showing concern for the org and the letters, but showing concern for your sister who might be putting herself in an awkward situation.
As far as the comments about my sister and her grammar...well sis, "your" is supposed to be "you're" and I think you know that. So just change it. It's not a big deal, but don't let these people think we don't have good editing skills
