I was well known and a cheerleader/dance team member, but I never considered myself part of the A crowd. I was friendly with them, but had my own group of friends. Since HS when I run into people they all swear they knew who I was, that everyone did, but my friends and I sort of operated in our own little universe.
Have been out of HS for MANY MANY years and am closer to my 20 year reunion that I'd like to admit, but... still friends with my HS set AND we all agree that we love each other, but college and post college were way better than high school.
