That happened to my mother on her FIRST child (my brother), which is why she only had two children, and that there's so many years between us!! She had a sadistic doctor, strained too much, and ended up having to have her womb wired back inside. *shudder*
At my last church, there was a family about this same age who didn't believe in birth control - even after the second child was severely brain damaged. At last count, they had 20 children. There was a photo in the paper of the eldest daughter, who was 19 at the time, with a baby in her one arm & a toddler in her lap. Oh, and of
course the girls all wore jumpers, too!
