I never felt popular in high school, but looking back, I probably was. Cheerleading, officer in several clubs, superlative 3 yrs. I tried to be nice to everyone, but didn't mind being by myself at times either.
It was very interesting at my 10 yr reunion. The ones that thought they were Miss/Mr It were still carrying themselves like that. Thing is, no one really cared. And when you read everyone's biographies, they hadn't done squat with their lives. The ones of us that were more well-known than popular (if that makes sense) were the ones that had graduated from college, obtained advanced degrees, had good jobs/incomes. Just goes to show - the ones that previously said repuation or being on the A-list doesn't mean doodles after high school were right.
