Damn, this has been a crazy week
Last night, I'm bored because I can't go to soccer practice, and had to go out and get the new DMB cd at the mall anyway (I'll comment on that in the DMB thread) but was out looking at Landrovers across from the mall cause I really want one, just cannot afford it, though found a discovery that might stand within reason. anyway, the owner asks me "where do you live?" not rude, but I was looking scruffy so I figured he thought I was doing what I WAS doing, and that's looking without intent to buy, meaning wasting his anxiety. Anyway, I tell him Old Louisville, to which he responds that there are 3 tornados spotted in that area. I cannot decide whether to go home, or stay here where the weather in the span of about 4 minutes from me hoping up on Rovers to not being able to see 2 feet, I'd rather be home, than without a place to go at all.
Driving home, the wind is so bad, my car is pushed about 4 or 5 feet into the other lane, this happens 4 times between the on ramp, and the next exit which are very close together, and it started getting under my car because I felt a little lift, at which point I was expecting to have my car flipped on the expressway, which though cars were only driving about 25-30 mph, they still would've hit me because you couldn't see 2 feet. So I get off on the very next exit, totally lost because I can't see anything, pull into a hotel for about 5 minutes while the weather is just getting worse....but i stay there until my now fog lined windshield is clear, resulting in the car being at about 9 million degees. Now that the windshield is clear, I see tons of trees near-by lying on the ground. bell rings in my head...get the hell out of here. from there on out it was good, until i had to drive through the worlds worst civil-engineered underpass that was filled about a foot high with rain water, of course I hydroplaned like shit, but fortunately didn't hit the walls, had I, I would have no doubt been stuck there, and I would guess that over the night it probably got up to about 4 or 5 feet deep...it usually does if it rains hard. hopefully no more exciting stories to come...but who knows, I can't walk straight but I'm gonna play soccer tonight...I wouldn't be surprised if something interesting came of that.
