Amalia,
I sincerely hope your sister learned from her experience, and was able to move on and hopefully join a sorority with a national affiliation, and not a fraud. Yes, there are disgraced local groups running around on many campuses pretending to still be affiliated with their national orgs. Personally, I could give a damn what they do, even if they are pretending to be my brother. However, PNM's and rushees need to do their homework carefully and figure out which houses and legit, and which are a sham. I recommend going trough formal, school sponsored rush, instead of venturing out on your own.
On a personal note, you seem awfully bothered by what a bunch of complete strangers posting on this board think of you... are the posters here really your friends? Do you really care how they feel? I would highly recommend you search elsewhere for personal validation... GC ain't the place for that.
Peace,
M.
