Y'all got me thinking of others. I understand where you counters are coming from. I have a similar habit. I SPELL things randomly in my head.
For example, if someone is talking to me and says:

My mind hears:

I do it so quickly that sometimes I don't notice. But, occasionally I'll start thinking hard about it and stop listening to the person altogether. When someone says, "what are you thinking about?" because I have a stupid expression on my face, I just have to say "nothing" so I don't stank myself out.
