I didn't know that there was a Johnny Appleseed Day, either! I did just recently hear that he not only spread apple seeds, he was a pastor who spread "other" seeds!
And, that many of the trees which grew from his seeds are either still alive, or their "progeny" is! So, if you're in the PA>OH>IN>IL area and eat an apple, it was probably originally from Johnny Appleseed!
