Maybe the public school alternatives suck.
Or, maybe they would like their child(ren) exposed to Christian values -- even though they may disagree on just what Christian values are.
We certainly don't all agree on the latter.
It also appears to me that they are quoting the superintendent's letter -- not the school policy, per se -- in the article. We don't know if the policy is clearly stated in the application.
Finally, why do you suppose only one parent has to adhere to whatever values the school believes in?
