I completely understand where you're coming from, and fully appreciate your position. I should have mentioned that we have offered to have this taken care of at a third party location. We also have a great working relationship with both the local and university police (our house is off campus). Given the limited size of my chapter, I want a good sized party, and something under 36 people just doesn't cut it for me. I'm not saying to throw an all-campus rocker, but there is an intermediate ground there. The risk management policy is being viewed as an all or nothing sort of thing, and personally I don't subscribe to that notion. Again, I think there are shades of gray. Don't know if this will inspire further discussion, but it's always good to have more information out there.
