I totally agree with you. When I volunteered here in Houston my experience was completely different. They were grateful for what we were doing, and some of them just couldn't believe that we would bring new stuff for them.
I'm sorry but I am sick of these people. One of my co-workers from our New Orleans office has joined our team in Houston and he just starts talking about how he's not moving back to New Orleans because he doesn't feel safe there due to all of the looting. I just really wanted to tell him off. If you bring those same conditions to any city it will be the same thing. People have to eat, babies need diapers, and women need feminine products. I lived in New Orleans for four years and absolutely nothing happened to me, and we did some dumb things in college. I don't understand why some people just take everything they get from the media as true. Why can't they understand that the media has an agenda?
