Sigh....reading this post made me sad. I went through an abusive relationship a few years back, and unless you've gone through it it's very easy to say "Oh just walk away. You don't need him." Yes, this is very true, but it's harder than it appears! I know with me I felt like I did deserve the abuse and that I wasn't good enough for a better man. That is why I never walked away. Chrissie my advice to you is to step back from the situation and look at what is going on. Do you honestly want to stay with a man (who could always potentially become a husband to you) would lashed out to you in anger? No one ever deserves that kind of treatment. I know it's especially hard because you've been together for three years. All I can say is that I hope you can find the strength to do the right thing.
