I have to say I am not a Theresa fan either... I used to watch this soap a loooong time ago (like when it first started) and I HATED how Theresa would always fantasize about her & Ethan when Ethan was perfectly happy w/ Gwen.
Let's not forget Theresa is the one who started all the love triangle stuff in the first place! I think a big reason Gwen does mean things to Theresa is b/c Theresa is the one who started plotting against Gwen in the first place so that she could get w/ Ethan.
I stopped watching it for a LOOONG time, and it doesn't surprise me that this plot is still d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g on. They definitely made Gwen pretty psycho, but Theresa's character isn't a saint either (putting on a wig, and spraying on Gwen's perfume so that a knocked out Ethan could sleep w/ her & get her knocked up?)
