The thought of people on figure skates ("toe pick!") who don't know what they're doing is beyond stupid! It's much too easy to be injured from a bad fall on ice than on a ballroom floor (says the person who has a nasty toe pick scar on her collarbone!).
Even Tara Lipinski had her hips replaced by the time she was 18!
