There was an "off campus fraternity" (i.e. group of guys who were members of a fraternity that got disbanded and started under a new name, raised money and bought a house) at my school... when I was there, one of my co-workers was a member of the "off campus fraternity" and he mentioned they avoided recruiting guys who were in IFC fraternities. I'm not sure on if they do that still, b/c I've been gone for awhile
