I hope the relief efforts actually receive their money. I don't want these donations going to pay for a non-Hurricane victim's rent.
This is why I will only donate through a large and well structured charity effort. I am skeptical of donation jars and individuals who are accepting donations on street corners, although every charity has the potential for scam.
