The problem with the internet is that you never really know who is what they say they are & who isn't. Honestly I don't think its a big deal if someone is misrepresenting an organization in an online community, its our actions in real life that say who we are, not a few harassing posts in a community that plenty of people don't even know exists.

I'll never share secrets of Sigma Kappa with anyone online, even if I have verified their name in the Sisters Only section. Anyone who even knows a Sigma Kappa could give you a name of a sister listed in that database. And knowing that I'll never share anything with a potentially fake Sigma Kappa or a real Sigma Kappa keeps my mind at ease when it comes to people lying about their membership status.

I think the people who waste their time to "oust" potentially fake members of their organization are just looking for another way to feel better about themselves. People who look for justification via the internet are more lame than those they accuse of being fake.
