So much damage from a party like this... No person goes through life without a label attached to them be it pretty, smart, funny,
gross etc. It's easier to lump people in a category than to really get to know them. What you find attractive, another may find as
plain. People can act like sheep and if someone in the "in crowd" proclaims another to be dull or ugly or fun and gorgeous it can become the label that person lives with until they leave that environment. It happens all through life starting with who you will sit by in grade school to who you invite to join your foursome as an adult. It will never end. If everyone in your group(but you) thinks someone is a "geek", will you go against popular opinion? I never was attracted to the bulging bicepts type but many of my friends were. I liked a different physique and found intelligence the most sexy quality a person could possess. My friends came from ALL walks of life and while others categorized them, it didn't matter to me. So, I would say, it's up to individuals to change. When you have a pack mentality as illustrated by parties of this nature, recognize it for what it is. It is a fact of life. It's up to you
to walk away and/or stand up for what you know is right and KIND. As a side note, if anyone had invited me to a party like that, well-"HELL HATH NO FURY..."
