DO NOT USE TV DOCTOR!!!!

Yes. I even went to Action 9 and nothing was done - so to say the least - Never use TV Doctor to repair anything. They stole a piece off of my big screen TV.

When I first moved into my house my big screen TV (4 yrs old) started having "double vision". My hubby called "TV Doctor". They charged $99 to diagnose the TV, and said that the conversion was broken. I called my husband up @ work & let the repairman explain the situation to him. He said it would cost 580.00 to fix. OK. Expensive, but considering what I paid for it, we were like ok. The guy took the part with him, calls me back and says he looked up the wrong piece - it would really cost over $800.00 to fix it. Needless to say, I was like nope. Bring it back.

OK - a little history here - I was very pregnant, on bedrest, & sick everyday - all day. The guy did not give me a work order/ receipt - & I'm thinking my cleared chk should be proof enough - right? WRONG. After I got out of the hospital & recovered form a C-Section, we started back pursuing TV Doc who never brought the piece back.

Long story short: The guy denies taking the piece out of my TV. I have a gaping hole in the back of my TV, and the owner of the company says there's nothing he can do about it (basically calling me a liar - a big no-no in customer service). At first, they said they didn't see a work order on file, then after I said I had a cleared check, they said they found a quote for over $800.00, but that as a policy, they never repair pieces or remove them from homes. They bring the finished product in. I asked for a copy of the order - haven't seen it yet - therefore - it was bogus (Considering there should be a space for customer siggy - right?) Action 9 sent me letter this week advising me to contact the BBB.

Moral - always get a work order. I usually do, but I think given my state of mind - I wasn't thinking clearly. AND I called another place - to fully replace the piece is around 500.00. That's fine, I would've paid that anyway given the original quote, but it's the principal of the matter. I'm thinking about starting a website: www.tvdoctorsucks.com. But first, I will contact the BBB.
