First of all, we haven't stolen anything from anyone. I'm not making a claim that kappas stole the cane from us, nor the omegas and the "dogmatic image." The fact of the matter is we did it FIRST! PERIOD. NO, they don't have the same meanings within our respective organizations, but canes and the dogmatic image are both parts of our "Rites of Passage" and were there from the very beginning. Being of great historical and symbolic importance to us. The founder that the kappas honor by carrying the cane(if that's accurate), if I'm not mistaken, didn't die in 1911, did he? And the explanation that the omegas have for the dogmatic image (tenacity, aggression) wasn't written until 50 or 60 years after they were founded. We can agree to disagree but, the statement that my fraternity stole traditions is ignorant, & can't factually be supported. That is all.
