That isht was going down here in CMS when I arrived. It was starting to happen in Columbus.

You cannnnnnnnnnOT teach children that way. We had a district wide pacing guide that dictated to all Charlotte Mecklenburg teachers what concepts should be taught on each day. Every day from start to dayum finish. I felt like someone had cut off my arms and legs and just wanted me to be a damn robot.

Y'all keep marching.
I am so out when this happens here in my district. I am a great teacher and I am all for professional growth, but creativity makes for a great learning climate. I agree 100%, pretty soon all we will need is a locked room and a tv monitor to teach kids. Why don't they just start writing a script like we read when we take standardized tests.

We are so not respected as educators.
