To Wonderful1908: THANK YOU!! i am sooooo >here< with you!! i get NO time to deal with the mountainous stack of papers on my desk and it is only the SECOND week of school!! why, you ask? because if i'm not in a dept. meeting, i'm in a cluster meeting. if i'm not in a cluster meeting, i'm in a grade-level meeting. i spent too much of my time planning EVERY lesson, EVERY quiz and EVERY test that i'm going to be giving for the ENTIRE semester because it's due tomorrow!! so do i have to continue to turn in a weekly lesson plan? i'm sure i will so WHEN will i have time to do it!!!!????
and WTF is wrong with you people?? it makes abso-freakin'-lutely NO sense that you want me and the other 7th grade history teacher to do EXACTLY the SAME thing, on the SAME day in the SAME way!!! WHY ARE YOU STIFLING MY PERSONALITY!???
i didn't want to do the business world anymore because i hated micro-management and the unneccessary chain of accountability and because i desired the sense of autonomy in the classroom. but, thanks to my freakin' administration, that's all out the window.
and THIS is why today, i hate people!
