I lived in my chapter's house for two years and two summers - I loved it! I wish I hadn't caved to parental pressure to "live out" my senior year. My chapter's house wasn't huge, by UW standards, and it was old, but I loved it.
After two very bad roommate experiences in the dorm my freshman year, I loved having an entire house to frequent. If I needed to get away from my roommate for a while, I could hang out in the dining room, the study room, the lounge, someone else's bedroom, the formal living room, the solarium... You get the idea. And one quarter I even slept on the sleeping porch because my roommates schedule was so crazy - that was some of the best sleep of my life.
And cosign everyone who said that living in a sorority is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
