Counseling and social work fields require an internship, which is similar to student teaching. In counseling psychology, I had to do two practica (plural for practicum?) where I was on site 10 hours a week. My internship was 40 hours a week...I got a TINY stipend for that one, but some of my fellow students didn't get a stipend.
