Athough you do have some points about folks picking themselves up by their bootstraps and getting up, getting out and getting something. And for some folks, like the retarded, and there are folks who are mentally challenged--and I'm not talking about Down's Syndrome folks--I'm talking about folks that have ADHD, schizophrenia and other undiagnosed illnesses it may be that which stops them from having a motivating lifestyle and jailing them won't make a difference--to them, it's 3 hots and a cot... And yeah, they may have to be Bubba's girlfriend, but it ain't no different from living on the street...

And YES, like the kids in ultra-impoverished countries that sleep on dirt, most of them do not live past 40, if that... And those who DO actually get out to America, and might make it, are actually those who DO have a little something in their country and SOMETIMES, their country helps them achieve what they seek--i.e. Kofi Annan's son, the Islamic Foundation, etc.

Barely few of those folks in the slums in other countries actually "make it" and acheive anything in their country and might not be able to if they run across the border into our country.

And if you have been in the 'hood in Orlando--like yeah, they really have one--okay, Miami has a bonafide 'hood, but Orlando, I just don't buy it--now they might kill a MoFo to rob and steal but to set up a drug syndicate independently and without "connections"--lifting themselves up by their bootstraps in their eyes, I don't think so...

Those folks in the "Orlando" 'hood are really rural country-fied folks set in their ways and haven't changed that much since, since. And with you saying to them "to get off their duffs" might be valid, but there is more to it than that.

Most of those folks cannot work, legally because they are probably felons... Now, they can hang out with the undocumented folks, but for what kind of money? You make more by robbing and stealing... And if you have a felony, really, who's gonna hire you up at Crystal Lake for their chit to get cased?

So, think about the benefits for Ms. Tameka Washington and her nasty assed BeBe kids... The baby's daddies are felons and cain't pay for squat. Tameka got pregnant in the first place at 13 'cuz her uncle's cousin's gang member's boy raped her at her grandmama's house. She ain't never had any kind of prenatal care. And to sooth the pain, her girl told her to "hit" some chit, which landed her into another crack house knocked up, again with twins. And where's the parents in this picture? Dad's been left and dead and probably ain't even her daddy' cuz her dumb assed mother plan forgot which guy it was when she got knocked up with Tameka at 14...

And mama decided that she wanted to give her kids a "Merry Christmas" with a piece of a candy cane from the store and got caught for shoplifting so they pounded her ass into jail when Tameka was 5... Which left the 75 year old grandma with cancer and oxygen to took care of her with 10 other "legal over the age of 18 adults" that aren't all that responsible--and you have a jacked up living situation for many a folk...

Hayle, it is easier for Tameka to shake her stuff and get paid at the tittie bar, and turn tricks while she smoke dope than to get a real job and be somebody... What's the benefit? And as far as giving a FCUK about somebody in Africa... EFF that from Tameka's standpoint... How do you tell that to somebody like her???

Once you are able to come up with a VIABLE solution to that issue, then I dare you to present it to ALL of the NPHC greeks because that is EXACTLY what our main programs are geared to fight against...

How do you keep on motivated when all they see is chit? My husband says they NEVER have EVER left their surrounding areas for decades. And what they "think" they know--the street--is ALL they know.
