If her parents are used to spending $15 or $20 thousand on a shopping trip, then maybe it isn't all that outrageous that they would give her $2 thousand (which is about how much she looked to have). It is not so much that she had the excessive amount of money to spend, but rather that it was in cash. They could have at least gave the child a debit card or something. I can just imagine what would happen if she sat her purse down somewhere. I know she hangs around old folks, but she is not an adult!
