Getting back to the quote, it is, extremely disturbing that a moderator (AXO Alum) thinks "being hateful" is OK.

The above was posted by blueangel.

Now this below is the quote by AXO Alum she was referring to:
Quote:
Sorry, but hateful isn't a violation of the TOS. If it were, then I think that GC would be a very empty place. Everybody has their opinions about things - its learning to respect their right to have their own opinion that gets so many people hung up.

blueangel, I am having a *really* hard time seeing where AXO Alum said being hateful is OK. Can you please point out to me in that quote above where she said that it's okay?
I've been asking the same question myself (see that other thread, but everyone already knows that). AXOAlum never said being hateful is okay in that quote folks!!! She did not, and I'm tired of seeing the "hate" card being played.

GC--and this particular corner of GC--is so NOT about hate. It's not. It's great to love your sorority, and it's wonderful to be enthused about yours, or a friend's, AI experiences. Anything to promote active alumni involvement in our GLOs is something to be embraced! We all know we need more alum involvement.

Having said that, I personally do not think it's acceptable to make assumptions, especially when it comes to either general AI procedures OR how any sorority might or might not conduct such procedures. GC is not the official NPC AI clearinghouse or tally board. It's darned well inappropriate to EVER reference ritual and/or MS discussion in here. In general, GC runs pretty darned smoothly. It's not perfect, but for the most part, we have relatively few problems on GC. If you, in general, do not like the way GC is run OR do not like the discussions you find on GC then please find another message board which better suits your needs.
