I was going to tell you, and I'll still tell you even though you've already applied, that if you put "please keep my application confidential" or something along those lines, they have to by law. My industry is the same way, and we're currently in the process of a search for a new GM. Thing is, most of these GM's already have a job, and don't want their current place of business to know, just in case they don't get it. However, part of the search is to research about the person and what all they do. It gets kind of tricky that way. Anyway, I figured it might help you if you don't get the job and have to look someplace else.
