This is going to affect the Wings more than anybody else, since they were above the cap and (reportedly) one of two teams that actually made money. But, some of these guys just want to play hockey and would probably take a lesser contract just to play. Yzerman was planning on retiring after last season (the season that didn't happen), but I think he'll come back this year, taking less money. Chellios said on the radio today he just wants to play hockey, it doesn't matter to him how much he makes. This was shown during the lockout by him playing for a minor league team (whose name is escaping me). It's going to be a sad year for Hockeytown. McCarty was awesome, on and off the ice.
