Take note everyone. Drs are not always thorough. If you go to a Dr. and they are not making an effort to get down to the root of the problem see someone else. I have been round and round with my mother about the crappy Drs. she and my grandmother have seen (and don't get me started on the ER dr. my brother had a few months ago-I would get sued if I did what they did). My family has no medical knowledge-which can really be a disadvantage. I know I am just an animal dr. but I do understand the mumbo jumbo of medicine and how things work and I cannot believe what some of these Drs (including veterinarians) get away with. I am always questioning (in a nice way of course) why this was not done etc.. Many times the Drs. have said-oh yeah I guess we do need to look into it further-geesh. Isn't that why you go through 12 years of school?
I have come to understand why lawsuits are so common.
Of course I am not saying all are bad-I would never make that type of generalization. Nor am I saying that people are perfect, we all make mistakes. But, people sometimes have so much trust in their Dr. that they ignore what their body is telling them b/c Dr. Smith said I am fine-no need to worry.
I hope you find out what is causing your ailment and in time will feel better and back to normal.
