Well there are those in Quebec that still want to seperate from Canada... in fact that is one of the main tenets of the party in power in the province - however the same party is decidely against multicultralism, and viciously defends what it sees as the "true" Francophone culture (ie. language laws and such).

Insularism, xenophobia, and thinly-veiled racism are not traits of multiculturalism; but rather the reaction of those fearful of it....
