The list is long... but I have respect for her in that she managed to do something that others haven't been able to do on a widespread scale -- she made reading (and critical reading at that) cool again. For that, she gets many props in my book.
But I'm so darned contrary
anyway -- even if I like the books she selects, I read them well after the fact just cause I don't want to be seen as a member of the Church of Oprah.
