You're not missing out on that much. I used to like them when I was little. I still go for the yummy food, ditto on funnel cakes. I see too many pick-ups and kool-aide mustaches. The entertainment is even more "country" than the people. I went to one a few years ago where they launched an anvil 100 ft. into the air. Oh wow, that was one of the most entertaining and safe things I've ever witnessed in my life!
What's more funny was that more than 500 people huddled around the display like they were watching something amusing like fireworks.
Maybe things are different in other states, though....
