Sounds like the Political Science kid wrote a press release and didnt bother to LexisNexis.
Alpha Lambda Tau is the gay fraternity at UT-San Antonio, (of course recognized by the university). They even mentioned it on Staurday Night Live a few years ago.
I dont know what others standards are, (its been discussed here before, but to be honest, I really dont care), but you cant just say you are a national GLO, with only one chapter. I mean, I could walk into a deli and it dosent make a sandwich.
Get a second chapter and its much easier to convince people you are national.
